Bath resident recognized
Darby Shea McCall, a resident of Bath, was named to the dean's list for the fall 2013 semester at the University of Rochester. She is the daughter of Marie Johns McCall of Bath and Emmett McCall of Lehighton. She is a graduate of Northampton Area Senior High School. McCall is a freshman majoring in neuroscience.

Whitehall resident receives award
Morgan Stewart from Whitehall accepted the Surgent Kolar CPA Review Award and Outstanding Junior Accounting Student Award at Widener University. Stewart is studying accounting.
BINGHAMTON UNIVERSITY
Whitehall resident recognized
Jacob Wloczewski, from Whitehall, a student athlete at Binghamton University, was named to the fall 2013 Athletic Director's Honor Roll for achieving a semester GPA of 3.30 or higher. Wloczewski is on the baseball team and is pursuing a major at the university's Harpur College.

Local residents volunteer
Kristen Danek, of Northampton, and Samantha Upton, of Whitehall, joined hundreds of University of Delaware Blue Hens lending a helping hand to communities in need in various U.S. cities this spring break. Some of the cities include New Orleans, Detroit and Philadelphia.

Whitehall resident travels
Ian Foley of Whitehall traveled to Washington D.C. with Political Science Honor Society. He was one of seven members to get to travel. Students heard from the Supreme Court case Clark v. Rameker, which was an argument concerning the bankruptcy code. The group also met with Sen. Robert Casey and Rep. Matthew Cartwright as well as other Wilke's alumni working in the area.

Whitehall resident in honor society
Sandra Soliman of Whitehall was inducted into the Alpha Sigma Lambda Honor Society. Twenty-seven students from Kutztown University were honored by the society.

Lauren Geldon of Whitehall was included in the Who's Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities. She was one of 21 students selected from Kutztown University.

Katrina Wachter, of Bath, was named to the dean's list for the 2013 fall semester. Wacther is a neuroscience major with a minor in musical performance. She is the daughter of Stewart and Denise Wachter of Bath.

Coplay resident is inducted
Christina Harrison of Coplay was inducted into Teacher Education Program at a pinning ceremony recently. She is a student at Wilkes University.

Area resident in honor society
Amanda J. Strohl of Catasauqua was inducted into Phi Sigman Iota honor society at Lebanon Valley College. She is pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and is a graduate of Catasauqua High School.

Jessica Paulus was inducted into the honor society. Paulus is from Bath and was initiated at Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

Catasauqua resident is recognized
William Loof, of Catasauqua, has been named to the Central Penn College dean's list for the winter 2014 term. Loof is majoring in business administration. To qualify for the designation, a student must carry six or more credits and earn a GPA of 3.5 or better for the term.

Northamtpon resident inducted into National Jesuit Honor Society
Jayde Hooven, of Northampton, was among 42 students inducted into Alpha Sigma Nu. Hooven is a senior majoring in biology.

Whitehall resident recognized
Josh Rodriguez, of Whitehall, particpated on a nationally recognized enactus team. The team won national recognition at two events for projects its members completed during the academic year.

Aaron Deutsch, of Coplay, graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology with a minor in Chemsitry. He is the son of Jeffry and Karen Duetsch of Coplay.

Clarence K. Walker of Catasauqua graduated with 1,092 other students at the spring 2014 undergraduate commencement ceremony Walker graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemisty.
