Betty L. Schaffer, 66, of Bethlehem Township, died April 24, 2014, at St. Luke's Hospital, Anderson Campus. Born in Klecknersville, she was a daughter of the late James and Ada (Kocher) Eckert. She was the wife of Harry R. Schaffer for 44 years.

She was a receptionist at the Allentown State Hospital for several years. She later worked with her husband at his clothing business in Coplay and Catasauqua.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Easton, where she was a former church secretary.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Cindy L. and her husband Travis Birth of Shickshinny; a brother, Harold and his wife Kathy Eckert of Moore Township; and four grandchildren, Logan, Madison, Benjamin and Emily.

She was predeceased by two sisters, Diane Rogers and Lorraine Hujcs, and a brother, Richard Eckert.
