State Theatre announces 2014 Freddy Awards nominations

Emmaus High School's "Disney's Beauty and the Beast" has received a record 19 Freddy nominations.

The next highest number of 2014 Freddy nominations is for Parkland High School's "The Wizard of Oz," which received 14, and Freedom High School's "Crazy For You," which also received 14.

The 2014 Freddy Awards Ceremony at the State Theatre for the Arts, Easton, will be broadcast at 7 p.m. May 22 on 69 WFMZ-TV and wfmz.com.

Tickets for the awards ceremony are made available to participating schools first. Remaining tickets go on sale to the public at 10 a.m. May 19 at statetheatre.org.

A a "sneak peak" of the awards TV production is held on Dress Rehearsal night, May 21. Details are available at freddyawards.org.
