Joseph A. Schwarcz, 76, of Bethlehem, died April 13, 2014, at Cedar-brook Nursing Home, Fountain Hill. Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late Joseph and Helen (Albert) Schwarcz. He was the husband of Rosemarie (Cougle) Schwarcz for 52 years.

He was in the U.S. Army from 1956 to 1959.

He worked for the James River Corporation, Milford, N.J.

He was a former parishioner of St. John Capistrano Catholic Church and was currently a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Bethlehem Township.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Joseph of Salisbury Township and David of Bethlehem; a sister, Helen Elovoski; five grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a son, Scott Piehota; and two sisters, Anna Harbor and Cristina Schwarcz.
