Earth Fair Celebration at Lindberg Park April 26
Salisbury Township's second annual Earth Fair Celebration will be held 10 a.m. to noon April 26 at Lindberg Park, rain or shine. There will special activities for children. Presentations regarding composting, creating a sustainable culture, Bird Town, community and recycling and hazardous waste will be conducted. The free event is sponsored by the Salisbury Township Environmental Advisory Council.
Salisbury is stocking the Laubach pond for "Kids Fishing Day" April 26. The pond at Laubach Park will be available for youth 15 years of age and under who wish to fish. All youth must be accompanied by a parent, guardian or other adult 18 years of age or older to supervise and assist with assembling tackle and baiting hooks. There is a limit of five fish per child.
The Franko Farm drop off will be open 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 26, May 10 and 13. Franko will be open 3 to 6 p.m. May 1 and 5.
The Salisbury Township School District Board of Directors will meet 7:30 p.m. April 23 at the administration building.

Harry S Truman Elementary School students will have a T-shirt day April 24.
PSSA science testing for students in grades four and eight will begin April 28.
Harry S Truman Elementary School third grade students and chorus members will hold their spring concert 7 p.m. May 1.
The Salisbury varsity and junior varsity softball teams will host a pancake breakfast fundraiser 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. April 26 at HST. Tickets can be purchased from any player or call the high school at 610-797-4107.
An STSD operations committee meeting will be held 7 p.m. May 5. A detailed outline of the budget will be given at this meeting.
An HST PTO meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. May 5.
HST will hold its field day for students in grades one and two May 6.
The Salisbury Middle School spring concert will be held 7 p.m. May 7 at the school.
In the absence of summited zone appeals for the month of May, no Zoning Hearing Board has been scheduled.

A day of mud-covered fun awaits you at Kids Peace's second annual Family Fun Mud Run. The event will be held 11 a.m. April 26 at the Orchard Hill Campus, 5300 KidsPeace Drive, Orefield. The 500th registrant will have their registration fee waived. The 3.1-mile course will consist of a trail through 10 obstacles. Participants get to experience a sand pit crawl, cargo net climb, a tunnel crawl, a slip'n slide and a mud pit. Children under the age of 12 can choose a one mile run/walk or the 5K. Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult during the 5K run/walk. Bring your four to six year olds for a free 100-yard dash. There is a registration fee. Does the thought of breaking a world record appeal to you? Here's your chance. The Great Cloth Diaper Change of the Lehigh Valley is looking for participants, volunteers and witnesses for its Guinness Book of World Records diaper changing challenge. The challenge is being held 10 a.m. April 26 at The Lehigh Valley Zoo, 5150 Game Preserve Road, Schnecksville. The organization is slated to join others, worldwide in changing the most cloth diapers, simultaneously.
The Great Cloth Diaper Change aim is to bring awareness to the environmental, financial and health related benefits of cloth diapers. To qualify, participating babies and toddlers must be 39 inches or shorter. At least one commercially available diaper must be purchased to participate. It may be purchased at the event.
By registering, participants will receive a goody bag, certificate of participation, update and reminder emails and will be guaranteed a space to change their baby's diaper.

Support local, domestic violence victims by attending Turning Point of the Lehigh Valley's "Champagne & Chocolate Fundraiser" at America on Wheels, 5 N. Front St., Allentown, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. May 1.
