Albany Township Historical Society, 404 Old Philly Pike, Kempton, will present speaker Jay Smar 7:30 p.m. April 21.

His topic will be "Folklore and Coal Mining Songs of the Northeast."

Jay Smar, of Coaldale, performs on guitar, claw-hammer banjo, harmonica and fiddle.

He sings and flat-foots, a form of clog-dancing.

The meeting is free and open to the public.
