Vehicle accident
Coplay police are investigating a hit-and-run motor vehicle crash at the Giant Food parking lot.
Catherine Ball of Coplay said on April 3 her vehicle was struck by another vehicle while backing out of a parking space by another vehicle.
She said the vehicle was a dark-colored Ford with a wildlife registration plate.
Motorist
hits sign
Coplay police reported they observed a vehicle traveling east on Hokendauqua Street without headlights shortly before 1 a.m. April 3.
The vehicle was pulled over at Center and South Second streets. The officer was notified of an accident involving a no parking sign in the 1100 block of Tapler Drive. The vehicle then proceeded east on Hokendauqua Street.
Christopher Stettler of Northampton informed police his vehicle struck the sign.
Stettler was cited for careless driving and leaving the scene of an accident.
Alarm tripped
Police responded to an alarm April 1 at the National Penn Bank inside the Giant Food store, Cherry and Second streets.
Police said the alarm was set off by cleaning personnel.
Dispute between
neighbors
A dispute between neighbors brought police to the 800 block of Barbara Drive in Parkway West March 31.
Police said a neighbor discovered a note on his vehicle requesting he park his vehicle on his side of the street. Police spoke to the writer of the note who said he was upset the neighbor continues to park in front of his residence.
Police told the individual the street is a public roadway and people may park where they want.
