Springhouse Middle School took home the first-place award in Division B of the regional Science Olympiad March 20 at Kutztown University.

The region covers Berks, Bucks, Lehigh and Northampton counties.

Ten middle schools entered teams to compete in 23 different events.

The top four division B teams go on to states.

The state competition will be held at Juniata College May 2. The national tournament will be May 16-17 in Orlando, Fla.
