The Hellertown/Lower Saucon Chamber will honor Braveheart Highland Pub and the Saucon Valley Farmers Market at their 92nd annual banquet from 5:30 to 8 p.m. March 27 at Silver Creek Country Club. Ashley Russo, host of "The Peak TV," will speak. The pub and owner Andy Lee will be given the Small Business Leadership Award for displaying excellence that permeates the community infrastructure. Lee invested $2.2 million into the former Hellertown Hotel to transform the Main Street property into a warm and friendly community hub.

Saucon Valley Farmers Market has earned the Community Commitment Award, which is given to a business, group or individual who demonstrates excellence in connecting with the community for the betterment of its quality of life. More than 50 local farmers and vendors gather from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Sunday from May through November with fresh, nutritious, seasonal foods and educational opportunities.
