Alarm activated
An alarm that sounded 3 a.m. Sunday summoned Coplay police to the 100 block of North Seventh Street.
The homeowner told police she found the front door of her residence open.
Police inspected the home and found the area all secure.
Suspicious man reported
Police were called March 14 to the 500 block of Schreiber Avenue to investigate a report of a man wearing dark glasses sitting in a vehicle with a New Jersey registration.
The man told police he was an employee of a power company and he had a crew canvassing the area.
According to police, the man did not have a solicitor's permit. Police advised the man to cease operations and obtain a permit.
The crew departed the borough, police said.
Motor vehicle accident
Police responded to a motor vehicle crash March 10 at Second and Coplay streets.
Police said a 2009 vehicle operated by Rebecca Wider of Northampton turned left onto Second Street from Coplay at which time her vehicle collided with a vehicle operated by Christopher Smith of Northampton.
Both vehicles sustained minor damage, police said.
