There are changes to the school calendar to accommodate the snow days. April 16, 17 and 21 are now full school days.

As of now, there will be no school April 18.

Kindergarten registration for children in the district who will be 5 years old on or before Sept. 1 will take place April 9, 10 and 11 at Weisenberg Elementary School.

Bring original state birth certificate with official raised seal, two proofs of residency, proof of immunization and the child.

Northwestern Elementary

The PIE meeting at Northwestern Elementary School is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. March 7 in the cafe.

At the meeting, they will be accepting nominations for officers for the 2014-15 school year.

Voting for officers will take place at the April meeting.

New officers will start at the end of the last meeting in May.

Pre-schoolers are always welcome to attend the meetings.

Northwestern Elementary Music Department is accepting donations of band instruments.

Due to the economic conditions over the last few years, many parents at NWE have found it difficult to rent or purchase instruments for their children to play in the band.

Weisenberg Elementary

There is a PTO meeting scheduled for 9:15 a.m. March 7 in Room 145.

Weisenberg PSSA testing dates for grades three, four and five are: reading and math, March 25-April 1; grade five: writing, April 7, 8, 9; and grade four: science, April 28, 29.
