Kindergarten registration for children in the Northwestern Lehigh School District who will be 5 years old on or before Sept. 1 will take place April 9, 10 and 11 at Weisenberg Elementary School.

Call 610-298-8661, ext. 5105 between 8 a.m.-4 p.m. March 11 and 14 to schedule an appointment for registration.

Bring original state birth certificate with official raised seal, two proofs of residency, proof of immunization and the child.

Contact the PTO if you would like to volunteer for the registration days as well.

Looking for something to do while you're snowed in this winter? Try warming up with a good book.

Here are some resources in addition to the school's library:

·Visit wegivebooks. org/books, a digital initiative to give kids access to books for free online.

Books are divided into categories of ages (0-10), genre (animals, friendship, sports, etc) and author. Read about sharks, horses, penguins and dinosaurs or find familiar series like "Amber Brown," "Skippy Jon Jones" and the DK "Eyewitness" books.

·Go to tumble-books.com/library, an online library of picture books, chapter books and non-fiction books.

Books are divided by type and can be searched by keyword, title, author and reading level.

Favorites include author Robert Munsch, series Nancy Drew Mysteries and non-fiction books about animals, outer space and U.S. cities.

Books can be read to students as they follow along with the highlighted text or they can turn off the sound and read on their own.

Many books also include follow up activities.

Movie Night will be Feb. 21. This month's movie will be "Cloudy With Chance of Meatballs 2."

Doors open 6:45 p.m. with the movie starting at 7:15 p.m. Bring a chair, bean bag, blanket, etc.

Food will be sold at the event. No food may be brought to the event.
