State police Jan 25 responded to a motor vehicle crash involving a Whitehall Township resident in the area of Route 22 eastbound, east of Schoenersville Road, Bethlehem.

According to police, Michele Malitsch of Whitehall travelled out of the right lane of traffic and struck Mark Durrenberger of New Tripoli. Durrenberger was parked on the shoulder of the highway when his vehicle was struck, police said.

Durrenberger was transported to St. Luke's Hospital, Bethlehem, for treatment of his injuries, police said.
