Starters at the Bethlehem Golf Club hosted the Bethlehem Fire Department in October as firefighters sold tee-shirts to raise money for St. Luke's Hospital's Cancer Center.

The "celebrity bartender" night at Starters Clubhouse featured disc jockey Chris Line of WZZO and firefighter Mary Alice Maguire behind the bar.

Starters' bartender Erin Burdick of Macungie worked with the "celebrities" to keep them out of trouble and to keep the drinks flowing.Firefighter Brian Padilla said he was hoping to raise $10,000 in this the third year that he has organized the charity drive. He said he started the charity drive three years ago to "give back to the community."

Padilla was at Starters along with firefighter and president of Local 735 of the firefighters union, Dave Saltzer.Many of the patrons had connections with the fire department. Carol Anders is the mother of a firefighter. She was there with Stephanie Iococca of Bethlehem who said her boyfriend, Josh Anders, is a firefighter.

Firefighter Jeffery Stiffinella was there with his wife, Maria and 3-month old daughter Zoey.

Kim Rojas attended with her co-worker and friend Joel Kowalski.

Rebecca Macauley, an emergency operator with the 911 system was there with her friends, Jackie Stoner, Heidi Marie Sulderits and 911operator Kelly Stefko of Bethlehem.
