UGI continues repairs to gas lines

Parts of Coplay have taken on the appearance of a construction zone as portions of borough streets are closed during the day due to excavation on gas lines.

A private company retained by UGI continues to replace aged pipes and meters.

UGI said excavations average two residences per day, adding there are 80 plus homes on Fourth Street.

The gas company is making improvements across its service territory, including Whitehall and Northampton.
