Timothy J. Turner, a member of Troop 150, St. Joseph the Worker, Orefield, recently earned the rank of Eagle Scout.

Timothy, son of Joseph and Elaine Turner of Weisenberg Township, began as a Tiger Cub with Pack 34 in Morristown, N.J. He earned his Arrow of Light.

An active member of Troop 34, in Morristown, he joined Troop 150 in 2007.

He earned 28 merit badges and served his troop in many leadership roles.

Timothy completed the National Youth Leadership program and is a member of the Order of the Arrow.

He assisted in leading two Sabattis Adirondacks high adventure canoe treks and a trek through Philmont Scout Ranch in Cimarron, N.M.

For his Eagle project, he built a 600-square-foot brick paved patio, table and benches in the first recreation park in Weisenberg Township.

A senior at Allentown Central Catholic High School, Timothy plans to study mechanical engineering in fall 2014.
