Margaretta L. Lentz, seamstress

Margaretta L. Lentz, 86, of Hokendauqua, died Dec. 26, 2013, in St. Luke's Hospital-Allentown Campus.

Born in Hokendauqua, she was a daughter of the late Arnold and Anna (Keshel) Theiss. She was the wife of the late Anthony J. Lentz.

She was a graduate of Whitehall High School.

She was a seamstress at Tama Manufacturing, Northampton, and Baby Gro, Allentown, until retiring.

She was a member of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, Whitehall, where she prepared and folded weekly bulletins.

She ran bus trips to Atlantic City Casinos. She was a Girl Scout leader in Hokendauqua earlier in life.

She is survived by three daughters, Denise R. Sneddon at home, Marcia Theiss of Whitehall, and Kristen and her husband Clinton Scheirer of Trexlertown; two sons, Anthony C. and his wife Sandra of Kutztown and Gary C. and his wife Judy of Schnecksville; 10 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; an expected blessing on the way; a twin sister, Dorothy Salter of Whitehall; and nieces and nephews and their families.

She was predeceased by an infant son; and two brothers, Charles and Robert Theiss.
