There will be no school Jan. 20 for a teacher in-service.

The Northwestern Lehigh libraries are not hosting a Barnes and Noble book fair as stated in the school newsletter. The information was from last year.

Northwestern Elementary

Partners in Education Shop will be open during recess Jan. 16. Students are invited to visit and purchase pencils, erasers, etc.

PIE will be having a Family Valentine Dance 6-9 p.m. Feb. 7.

There will be food, a Chinese auction, face painting, crazy hair, as well as fantastic music.

Bring the entire family for a night of fun.

Weisenberg Elementary

Weisenberg Family Night and Silent Auction will take place 6-9 p.m. Jan. 25. Snow date is Feb. 1. The silent auction is geared toward adults.

Students can participate in the Chinese auction, where bidding is done by ticket and won at random.

Tickets will be available for purchase in advance and during family night.

The PTO needs donations of gift certificates and merchandise from local businesses and families in the district.

Items might be themed baskets filled with art supplies, crafts, ethnic foods, auto care, baking gadgets, pet pampering, safety products for home or auto, school supplies, children/family board games, toys, books, movie night, all kinds of sports items, gifts certificates and services such as babysitting, stenciling or lawn care.

All Market Day orders are due by 11 p.m. Jan. 22. Pickup is 5:30-6:15 p.m. Jan. 28 in the cafeteria.
