Calvin C. Reiss, 90, formerly of Allentown and Macungie, died Jan. 1, 2014, at Cedarbrook Nursing Home, South Whitehall Township. He was the husband of the late Florence R. (Heilman) Reiss. Born in Old Zionsville, he was the son of the late Calvin T. and Blanche (Scholl) Reiss.

He was employed as a bowling alley mechanic at the Rose Bowl and Parkway Lanes, both in Allentown, for 30 years, retiring in 1993.

He was a member of Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church of Eastern Salisbury, Allentown.

He was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing at Wedgewood Golf Course in Limeport.

He is survived by sons, Rodney R. and his wife Irene, of Allentown, David A. and his companion, Patricia Schaffer, of Lehighton; daughter, Donna M. and her husband William Coleman, of Deerfield, Mich.; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, Wilbur Roy, who died in December.
