Gary L. Weatherby, 63, of Bethlehem, died Dec. 27, 2013 at Hospice House of St. Luke's, Bethlehem. Born in Fountain Hill, he was a son of the late Mildred (Kurtz) and Leonard Weatherby.

He was in the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam War.

He worked for Bethlehem Steel for 10 years. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service, retiring after 30 years of service.

He was a high school basketball referee in the valley. He was a member of the Roosevelt Democratic Club, North End Wanderers and the Heights Athletic Association.

He is survived by two sons, Todd Weatherby and Brad Weatherby.

He was predeceased by a brother, Eugene James Weatherby; and a sister, Joan Weatherby.
