St. John's Friendly Fifties will meet Monday, Jan. 13, 1 p.m., in the church's social hall, 1343 Newport Ave.

Time with Tim will be the entertainment.

If the Northampton schools are closed due to inclement weather, the meeting will be rescheduled for Jan. 20.

Winter children's programs at the Northampton Area Public Library will be held Feb. 4-March 27. Pre-registration is required and begins at 9 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 6.

Programs include Toddler Storytime (age 2), Creative Preschoolers (age 3 through kindergarten), Storycraft (kindergarten through grade 2) and Toddler/Preschool Family Storytime.

A new program will also be held. Wonderful Ones is a read-and-play program for 1-year-olds and their caregivers. It will be held Thursdays, 10-10:45 p.m.

Sessions are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. Stop by the library, 1615 Laubach Ave., to register.
