Mark Adam Crossley of Hilton Head Island, S.C., died Dec. 23, 2013, in his home. He was the life partner of John Beard for many years. Born in Lima, Ohio, he was the son of the late Kenneth Crossley and Marilyn (Detrick) and Stanley Kaufman, all of Emmaus.
He graduated from Emmaus High School in 1979.
He was employed by Hess Bros. for many years, and later worked at Ertley Motors in Wilkes-Barre. He was most recently employed by Spinnaker Resorts in Hilton Head.
He loved to cook, read good books and walk his dogs on the beach.
He is survived by his partner; sons, Edward Taylor, United States Navy; Robin Detrick, of Hilton Head; daughter, Hilary Carolyn, of Hilton Head; brothers, Kenneth Charles and his wife Kirsten, of Salem, Ore., John Eric and his wife Karen, of Eldersburg, Md.; sister, Pamela Kyle, of Norwich, Vt.; partner's sons, David and Chris; five nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be 10 to 11 a.m. and services 11 a.m. Jan. 2 at the Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus. A memorial service will be scheduled for a later time in Hilton Head, S.C.
