Timothy E. Coval, 53, died Dec. 12, 2013, in Homestead, Fla. He did not recover from a diabetic coma.

He was a son of Janice and Gene Coval of Whitehall.

He was a 1979 Whitehall High School graduate. He earned a computer/ communications degree from Northampton Community College and an education degree from Kutztown University.

He was an elementary teacher for 20 years in Florida. He played guitar for bands in the Lehigh Valley area, including "Bam Bam," before moving to Marathon, Fla., in 1993.

He attended San Pablo Catholic Church, Marathon.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother, Scott and his wife Kaye of Orefield and their children Keeley, Mia and Nicholas; a sister, Amy and her husband Mark Wurth of Boca Raton, Fla. and their children Ella and Sam; fiance, Jamie Buhyoff of Marathon; and aunts, uncles and cousins and their families.

Contributions may be made to a diabetic charity of choice.
