Missionaries Mike and Ana Dascalesescu will be the guest speakers at Northampton Assembly of God, 3449 Cherryville Road, Sunday, Dec. 29, during the 10:45 a.m. and 6 p.m. services.

The Dascalesescus are natives of Romania and have lived in the United States for 30 years, after escaping from religious persecution under the Communist regime. Last September, they spoke at Northampton Assembly of God and shared a number of very stirring testimonies of how God miraculously aided their escape.

After the fall of the Iron Curtain in 1989, the Dascalesescus sought for an opportunity to take the gospel into the devastated land of Romania. They took yearly short-term trips, ministering in the villages of the Transylvania and Moldova region. They spent a summer in Romania and became certain of God's call to return as full-time missionaries. They then served a two-year term as missionary assistants. Being fluent and efficient in the language, they were asked to work at the School of Missions in Agigea, preparing young nationals to become missionaries to the least evangelized areas of the world. They envision building 40 churches in the next decade.

Pastor Daniel E. Lundmark invites the public to attend.
