Joseph F. Kovacs, 72, of Whitehall, died Dec. 14, 2013, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown. He was the husband of Paulette (Blozinsky) Kovacs.

Born in Ironton, he was a son of the late Joseph C. and Josephine (Yaremchhuk) Kovacs.

He was in the U.S. National Guard.

He was a customer service representative for the Eaton Corporation, Michigan.

He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Whitehall, and a lifetime member of its Holy Name Society.

He was a member of both the Lehigh Valley and the Pocono Mountain Garden Railroad Clubs.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Susan Ladd; a son, David and his wife Denise Ladd; two grandchildren, Kyle and Joshua Ladd; and a great-granddaughter, Autumn Ladd.

He was predeceased by a brother, Thomas R. Kovacs.

Calling hours are 7-8:30 p.m. Dec. 20 and 9-10 a.m. Dec. 21 at the funeral home, 327 Chesnut St., Coplay, 18037. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Dec. 21 at the church, 3024 Ruch St.
