John J. Sipos Jr., 70, of Northampton, died Dec. 12, 2013, at the VNA Hospice House at St. Luke's, Bethlehem.

Born in Northampton, he was a son of the late John Sr. and Emma (Yandrasitz) Sipos.

He was a Northampton High School graduate. He attended Kutztown University.

He was in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany with the Special Intelligence Unit.

He was a member of the former Our Lady of Hungary Catholic Church, Northampton.

He is survived by two sisters, Kathleen Deichmeister and Eileen Sipos, both of Northampton; a nephew, Edward John Deichmeister of Northampton; and a niece, Kathy and her husband Donald Shipwash of Northampton.
