Hector M. Arechiga, 79, of Bethlehem, died Dec.11, 2013. Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late Baldomero and Enedina (Lomeli) Arechiga. He was the husband of Mary Ann (Brugger) Arechiga.

He was in the U.S. Army.

He worked for the City of Bethlehem. He later was hired by the Bethlehem Steel Corporation where he worked in the Real Estate and Law Departments for more than 30 years. After retirement, he was a bartender at the Fearless Fire Company.

He was a parishioner of St. Anne's Catholic Church, where he was an usher and a member of Marriage Encounter.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Richard and his wife Michelle of Emmaus; a sister, Olga Nemetz of Easton; nieces; and nephews.

He was predeceased by a sister, Blanche Marrero; and two brothers, Sergio and Baldomero Arechiga.
