In other business, they also passed a resolution to pay one-third of the cost, or $333, for a community center and parks and recreation study to be shared with Walnutport and Slatington, which will pay the other two-thirds.
Each municipality is to appoint a representative for the study group.
Right-of-entry agreements were approved by the board for Trumbull Construction and the Pa. Turnpike Commission to cross township land for access to a pathway leading to a Turnpike bridge that will be repaired.
Resident Ed Ziegler said, in his opinion, the bridge only needs some paving to smooth it out so traffic is not as noisy.
Ziegler said he worked for the commission when the original work was done.
He also told the board he has a state junkyard license.
