Louis Righi, Assumption B.V.M. Church member

Louis Righi, 94, of Bethlehem, died Dec. 4, 2013. Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late Maria (Savelli) and Attilio Righi. He was the husband of the late Vilma M. (Massie) Righi for 62 years.

He was in the U.S. Army Air Corps and was in World War II.

He worked for Dugan and Marcon Construction.

He was a member of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, Colesville, where he was an Eucharistic minister, a member of the Holy Name Society and a caretaker of the church property. He was a member and speaker at Cursillo retreats. He was involved with the church spaghetti dinners for 35 years.

He volunteered with Meals on Wheels and the Se-Wy-Co Carnival.

He is survived by a son, Lawrence "Larry" A. Righi of Bethlehem; two daughters, Mary M. and her husband Paul R. Purdy of Warminster and Rita R. and her husband Stephen Hock of Bethlehem; a brother, Marino Righi of Bethlehem; two daughters-in-law, Gail Ambrose and Eileen Fritz; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a son, Michael L. Righi; and a brother, Egildo Righi.
