Northwestern Lehigh High School guidance counselors are continuing the tradition of trying to make Christmas a little more special for families of high school students in the district.
They have identified at least 50 families who could use help this holiday season, who might not otherwise be able to provide gifts for their families.
The need this year is greater than ever before.
The families will remain anonymous; only the guidance counselors will have contact with them.
Friends, neighbors or know others in the community may want to contribute.
To help, purchase a gift card from Giant, Weis, Walmart, Kohl's or Target to be donated to these families.
The card can be for any amount.
Gift cards will be collected and given to the counseling office for distribution.
Do not wrap the gift cards. They will be allocated by the guidance counselors, so the parents can shop for gifts for their own families.
Drop off the gift cards at the high school attendance office or with Mrs. Kokos in the counseling office by Dec. 12.
