Schools may be closed, delayed or dismissed early due to inclement weather.

If school is closed, the menu scheduled for the first closed day will be served on the day students return to school.

Northwestern

Elementary

Partners In Education is offering a night of holiday shopping and a movie 5 p.m. Dec. 20 in the cafeteria.

Come dressed in your favorite holiday PJ's, listen to some holiday music while the children shop, and enjoy a family night out.

Weisenberg

Elementary

A "mitten tree" has been set up in the front lobby of Weisenberg Elementary for donations of new gloves, mittens, hats, scarves or socks for families in need.

These items will be donated to an Allentown inner city school and to area students.

Bring in the items until Dec. 20 and hang the items on the tree.

Weisenberg will be participating with the PTO and local churches in the Christmas Gift of Giving Program.

Purchase a gift card from, for example, Walmart, Target, Toys R Us, Giant or Weis Markets and return it in an envelope addressed to Mrs. McGrath. Gift cards are due by Dec. 16.

Gift cards will be distributed to Weisenberg families.
