Carolina Piro, 62, of Bethlehem, died Dec. 5, 2013, while in the care of her family and St. Luke's Hospice. She was a three-time cancer survivor prior to her passing. Born in Italy, she was a daughter of Lina (Parente) Piro of Italy and the late Rolando Piro. She was the wife of John Piro.

She was a seamstress in the textile industry for many years before retiring.

She was a member of Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church.

In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by two daughters, Monica Laubach and Eleonora Martino; two granddaughters, Destiny and Fayraina Painton; and two sisters, Leonilda Borini and Josepina DeLuca.

She was predeceased by a brother, Cosimo Piro.
