Allan T. Mackes, 83, of Bethlehem, died Dec. 4, 2013, in St. Luke's Hospital. He was the husband of Reta (Antry) Mackes.

Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late Clinton and Margaret (Bader) Mackes.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.

He was a computer programmer at the Bethlehem Steel Company for many years before retiring.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Donald Antry of Schnecksville; two daughters, Cheryl Shell of Indianapolis, Ind. and Margaret Bates of Bethlehem; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
