Douglas S. Schaffer, 46, of Coplay, died Nov. 20, 2013, at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Muhlenberg. He was the husband of Patricia A. (Bowman) Schaffer since 1995.

Born in Northampton, he was a son of Pearl Schaffer of Northampton and the late Luther Schaffer.

He was a 1985 graduate of Whitehall High School.

He worked for various construction companies including A.J. Trunzo Inc., Bath.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by two daughters, Sarah and Faith; his second mother, Nancy Bowman, along with her daughter Susan and her husband John Weldner; a niece; and three nephews.

Contributions may be made to Patricia A. Schaffer for the education of their daughters.
