Thomas H. Burns, 75, of Macungie, died Nov. 19, 2013, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. He was the husband of the late Marilyn K. (Matthews) Burns, who died in 2011. Born in Catasauqua, he was the son of the late Joseph V. and Pearl M. (Costenbader) Burns.

He was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Allentown.

He earned a master's degree from Lehigh University, received his bachelor's degree from the University of Notre Dame, and was a graduate of Central Catholic High School.

He was an accountant, having originally worked for the Buckeye Pipeline Company, then later retiring from Mack Trucks after many years of service.

He was a member of the Lehigh Valley Center for Independent Living and the Notre Dame Lehigh Valley Alumni Association.

He is survived by children, Elizabeth and her husband Frederick Pane, of Ocean View, N.J., John D. and his companion, Diane Wolfram, Michael and his wife Katie, of Macungie and Rochelle and her husband Dean Bachman, of Emmaus; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; siblings, James A., Barbara, and Marie Christiano.
