Joseph F. Tercha Jr., 80, of Macungie, died Nov. 18, 2013, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. He was the husband of Anne (Cadden) Tercha. They celebrated 58 years of marriage on June 11. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Joseph F. Tercha Sr. and the late Jane (Sewards) Tercha.
He was a graduate of Central Catholic High School, Class of 1951. He attended Penn State University Extension before entering the U.S. Navy, where he served in the Air Branch as a photographer.
He retired from Mack Trucks, Allentown, as a facility manager in 1986. He also worked for Industrial Floor Company, Jenkintown, for seven years as an estimator. After complete retirement, he worked part-time for Wegmans.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing in his earlier years.
He was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Allentown. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus and was a big fan of the University of Notre Dame football and the Philadelphia Eagles.
He is survived by his wife; daughter, Maryjane and her husband Brian McManus; grandson, Ryan Lozoskie; brother, Robert ; mother-in-law, Betty Cadden; nephews, Andrew and Peter; in-laws, Mary and Joe Gifford and Michael and Michelle Cadden; many cousins from the Tercha and Sewards families.
Memorial contributions may be made in his name to St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 1040 Flexer Ave., Allentown, 18103.
