Mary R. Huyter McMurtrie, 96, of Bethlehem, died Nov. 7, 2013. Born in Bethlehem, she was a daughter of the late Carmen and Concetta (DeCrosta) Sciarra. She was the wife of the late Kalman P. Huyter and and the late Calvin L. McMurtrie.

She was a seamstress for local factories.

She is survived by five children, Shirley and her husband Gus Heidecker of Bethlehem, Linda and her husband Frank Giasullo of Bangor, Richard J. and his wife Sheri Huyter of Riegelsville, Mary Ann Mathioudis of Bethlehem and Gloria and her husband Lloyd Sacknoff of Nazareth; seven grandchildren; and five grea- grandchildren.
