Man cited for disorderly conduct

Coplay Police cited Michael Derfler, 37, of Coplay, Monday with disorderly conduct Nov.11.

Police said Derfler was involved in a disturbance in the area of Second and South Front streets.

Derfler was yelling at an unnamed man seated in his parked vehicle, according to police. The individual in the vehicle calmed down, but Derfler continued yelling and cursing and allegedly threatened the man inside the vehicle, police said.

Police instructed Derfler to leave the premises, police said.

Derfler walked across the street and continued yelling and screaming, police said.

Vehicle stolen

A resident of the 800 block of Oak Street reported her 1997 Honda Accord was stolen sometime overnight Sunday.

The vehicle was parked across the street from her residence, police said.

Police said the theft of the motor vehicle is currently under investigation.

DVD player stolen

A resident of Oak Street reported someone entered her parked vehicle and removed a portable DVD player valued at $100.

The incident took place Nov. 3 when the vehicle was parked in the 1000 block of Barbara Drive, police said.
