Miriam E. Hinkel, 95, formerly of Salisbury Township, died Nov. 13, 2013, in the Phoebe Home, Allentown. She was the wife of the late Norman E. Hinkel who died Sept. 18, 1995. Born in Lower Macungie Township, she was the daughter of the late George B. and Laura E. (Miller) Weaver.

She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Emmaus.

She was a key punch operator at Mack Trucks for many years.

She is survived by a grandson, Scott Southwick; five great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Dianne Piller; grandson, Shawn Piller.
