Donald R. Thomas Sr., 86, of Macungie, died Nov. 7, 2013, in his residence. He was the husband of the late Jean Marie (Getts) Thomas. Born in Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne County, he was a son of the late Daniel R. and Jessica (Muskell) Thomas.

He was Presbyterian in faith.

He was a 1945 graduate of Edwardsville High School and attended Lehigh Carbon Community College. He was an information technology professional working as operations manager in physicians services for Pentamation Enterprises, Inc., Bethlehem, for 15 years. Prior to that, he worked in the same capacity for American Diversified Enterprises, a division of LANTA, Allentown.

He is survived by a daughter, Linda J. and her husband Kevin J. Stumpp, of Macungie; sons, Daniel D. and his wife Diane M. (Holubowsky), of Lenhartsville, Donald R. Jr. and his wife Terri (Dennis), of Beaufort, N.C.; seven grandchildren, Sara J. and her husband Christopher R. Cathcart, Jeffrey C. Souders Jr., Tina M., Brandon M. Stumpp, Kevin F. Stumpp, Andrew D. Barthol, Jeremy J. Barthol; 12 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a sister, Olive Jean Pearn; brother, Daniel D.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Nov. 14 in the Ludwick Funeral Homes Inc., 333 Greenwich St., Kutztown. Relatives and friends may call noon to 1 p.m. Nov. 14 in the funeral home.
