William J. Najpauer, 82, of Whitehall, died Nov. 4, 2013, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. He was the husband of Dorothy (Schloffer) Najpauer for 54 years.

Born in Northampton, he was a son of the late Michael P. and Julia (Farkas) Najpauer.

He was a 1949 graduate of Northampton High School.

He was an inspector for Azar Iron Works, Bath, for several years before retiring in 1994. Previously, he worked for Bethlehem Steel Fabricators.

He was a life member and former dues secretary of the Lappawinzo Fish and Game Protective Association, Allen Township. He was a member of the Northampton Liederkranz and the American Legion, Hokendauqua Post.

He was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Coplay.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Carol A. and her husband Mark W. Loy of Bernville and Sharon A. and her husband Timothy J. Groller of Hokendauqua; a son, William S. and his wife Jane of Northampton; five grandchildren, Kyle, Mathew, Stephen, Alyssa and Jessica; a sister, Marle Sisko of Cementon; and a brother John and his wife Joan of Northampton.

A viewing is scheduled for 9:30-10:30 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m., both on Thursday, Nov. 7, at the church, 4 S. Fifth St., Coplay, 18037.
