LEHIGH VALLEY WEATHER

Boy Scouts

Boy Scouts and volunteers from the local Minsi Trails Boy Scout Council will be out Nov. 9 collecting non-perishable food for the annual Scouting For Food community food drive.

Door hangers were delivered throughout many neighborhoods Nov. 2 letting residents know about the food drive. For residents who did not get a door hanger, food may be dropped off at any participating area Wegmans food store, WFMZ-TV, Lafayette Ambassador Bank, Team Capital Bank, Ray Price Car Dealerships, Jaindl Farms and Minsi Trails Council.

This is one of the area's largest single-day food drives. Last year Scouting For Food brought in nearly 100,000 pounds of food for local food banks.

That's enough food to feed more than 8,000 people for a week.
