Suzanne E. Meitzler, 66, of Macungie, died Oct. 30, 2013, in Lehigh Valley Hospital. She was the wife of Larry C. Meitzler, with whom she would have celebrated 45 years of marriage on Nov. 23. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Paul H. and Ruth I. (Jacoby) Knepper.
She was a 1965 graduate of Emmaus High School and a 1968 graduate of Penn State University.
She taught in the Reading School District from 1968 to 1972, was the owner of the former Candlewick Candle Shop, Wyomissing, worked for the U.S. Post Office in Trexlertown and served as postmaster at the Lenhartsville Post Office, taught ESL in the Allentown School District for 17 years, and retired from Parkland School District.
She was a member of St. John's U.C.C., Emmaus.
She is survived by her husband; daughter, Elisa A. and her husband Kenneth Highley, of Breinigsville; sister, Terry L. and her husband Paul Ryan, of Orefield; granddaughter, Emma; niece, Helen Ryan.
