Mearl "Fritz" P. Eichelberger, 83, of Macungie, died Oct. 19, 2013, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. He was the husband of Kathleen C. (Eberwein) Eichelberger. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Lynford and Ella (Landis) Eichelberger.

He served his country honorably in the U.S. Army.

He was a truck driver for the A-Treat Beverage Company, Allentown.

He is survived by his wife; sons, David, Craig and his wife Lisa, Scott and his wife Tracy; daughters, Vicki and her husband Richard Zeppa, Linda and her husband Paul Fischl, Penny and her husband Arthur Sergent; stepchildren, Michael Eberwein and his wife, Vicki, Susan Heckman and her husband Rodney; brother Richard; sister, Ardyth King; 20 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife, Barbara (Geiger) Eichelberger in 1988.
