Anton Alsleben

Anton Alsleben, 67, of Macun-gie, died Oct. 31, 2013, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. He was the husband of Janice R. (Ebner) Alsleben. The couple celebrated 47 years of marriage on Feb. 18. Born in Halle-Saale, Germany, he was the son of the late Anton Hoppe and Charlotte (von Alsleben) Herrmann.

He was an electrician by trade, having worked for different companies in the Lehigh Valley throughout his career.

He was a Naval veteran, serving two tours during the Vietnam War.

He was an associate member of the Allentown F.O.P. and was a member of the Italian-American Bocce Club in Allentown.

He was an avid fisherman who loved spending time with his family and his beloved granddog, Daisy.

He is survived by his wife; children, Ursula and her husband Craig S. Wacyk, of Sellersville, Melissa A. and her husband George Grim, of Allentown, and Tony-Stefan and his wife Colleen, of Lower Macungie; sister, Ursula O. Herrmann; grandchildren, Andrew and Katherine Wacyk, Kelsy and Olivia Grim and Rose; four step-grandchildren; and faithful companions, Daisy and Jack.
