John Kauker, #2, #6 machine shop

John Kauker, 91, of Hellertown, died Oct. 18, 2013. Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late Frank and Theresa (Bujtas) Kauker. He was the husband of the late Helen (Micolochick) Kauker.

He was in the U.S. Navy as a chief petty officer aboard the Hillary P. Jones in World War II.

He was a millwright at Bethlehem Steel in the #2 and #6 machine shops for 42 years before retiring in 1983.

He was a member of the Bethlehem MORA Club.

He is survived by three daughters, Joan and her husband David Torkos, Janet and her husband Sir Kenneth Towns and Christina and her husband Joseph Burton; a brother, Steven and his wife Dorothy Kauker; three grandchildren, Paul John Hoadley, Sara Jayne Hoadley and Jennifer and her husband Terry Cressman; two great-granddaughters, Alyssa Faith Ernst and Madison Rose Cressman; and a niece, Barbara Stankus.

He was predeceased by two sisters, Elizabeth Stankus and Theresa Saks.
