James G. Leary, 64, of Bethlehem, died Oct. 21, 2013, in his home. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late James E. and Helen (Miller) Leary. He was the husband of Nancy Emerson Leary for 41years.

He was a graduate of MMI, Freeland, he earned a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Lehigh University.

He was an electrical engineer for PP&L for 38 years.

He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Bethlehem.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, James D. and his wife Elizabeth (Borst) Leary of Mount Pocono; a daughter, Shannon E. and her husband Joseph J. Welsh of Frederick, Md..; a sister, Alice and her husband Thomas Reitz of Madison, Conn.; two granddaughters, Abigail Jane and Victoria Grace; and two nephews, Eliot and Joel.
