Dorothy M. Rickard, 61, of Macungie, died Oct. 17, 2013, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. She was the wife of James Rickard, with whom she would have celebrated 40 years of marriage in November. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Dorothy (Oaks) Weaver.

For over 38 years she worked at Lehigh Valley Hospital as a technical aide and was to retire in December.

She enjoyed camping, sewing and spending time playing casino games on her Kindle.

She is survived by her husband; sons, Michael A., of Macungie, Jason J. and his wife Amanda, of Matamoras; daughter, Jill L., of Allentown; brother, Norman R. and his wife Jan, of Orefield; three grandsons, Anthony, Jordin, Chase.

Arrangements were made by the Schmoyer Funeral Home, Breinigsville.
