Mark John Luchansky, 49, formally of North Catasauqua, died Sept. 24, 2013, at his home in New Hampshire. He was 49 years of age.
He was the husband of Carolina Amaro Luchansky.
He was the son of Kathleen Luchansky-Ewanev and the late Paul Luchansky.
He was a graduate of Catasauqua High School, Class of 1982. He played football and basketball, experiencing success both on the field and the court his senior year. He was an avid golfer.
He went on to attend Bloomsburg University as well as the University of Dartmouth in Boston.
Mark was employed by Unifirst Corporation Headquarters in Boston as a contracting manager, starting manufacturing plants in South Central America, including Mexico, Guatemala and San Salvador.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his former wife, Kelly Murphy Luchansky, daughter Alysha Luchansky of Boston; son Joshua Luchansky, of New Hampshire; mother Kathleen and stepfather Stephen Ewanev of Lower Macungie Township; twin brother Matthew Luchansky and wife Georgette; sisters Linda Bradley of East Downingtown, and Eileen Suraci of Bloomsburg; brothers Paul Luchansky and wife Melanie of Georgia, and James A. Luchansky and wife Sarah of North Carolina; nieces and nephews Nora, James, Noelle, Taylor, Adam, Frank, Christine, Nicholas, Ashley, Lindsey, Sammy, Jacob, Natalie and Nolan.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Andrews Church, 1229 N. Third St., North Catasauqua, 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 25.
