Theft reported
Coplay police responded to a report of a retail theft Oct. 15 at the Giant Food Market, Cherry and Chestnut streets.
The store's loss prevention officer told borough police a 31-year-old Catasauqua woman concealed items on her person without paying for them, police said.
The woman was issued a nontraffic citation and released pending further investigation, police said.
Burglary reported
Borough police are investigating an Oct. 15 burglary at an apartment in the 600 block of Schreiber Avenue.
The resident told police an undetermined amount of money and DVDs were stolen from her residence, police said.
The report did not state how entry into the apartment took place. Police are investigating.
